Vacancy Details: Havaldar Posts Confirmed, MTS to be Announced!
The official notification confirms 1075 vacancies for Havaldar posts in CBIC & CBN (Department of Revenue).
The number of vacancies for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts is yet to be announced by the Commission but is expected soon. Keep an eye on the official SSC website for updates on MTS vacancies.
Eligibility Criteria (As on August 1, 2025):
To be eligible for the SSC MTS & Havaldar Examination 2025, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
1. Nationality/Citizenship:
A Citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A subject of Bhutan, or
A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
A person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam) with the intention of permanently settling in India.
2. Age Limit (as on August 1, 2025): Calculate Age🗓️
For MTS (Non-Technical) and some Havaldar posts: 18-25 years. (Candidates born not before 02.08.2000 and not later than 01.08.2007)
For Havaldar in CBIC & CBN (Department of Revenue) and a few posts of MTS: 18-27 years. (Candidates born not before 02.08.1998 and not later than 01.08.2007)
Age Relaxation: Applicable for reserved categories as per Government rules:
SC/ST: 5 years
OBC: 3 years
PWD (Unreserved): 10 years
PWD (OBC): 13 years
PWD (SC/ST): 15 years
Ex-Servicemen (ESM): 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age.
Central Government Civilian Employees: Up to 40 years of age (General), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST) for those with at least 3 years regular and continuous service.
Widows/Divorced Women/Judicially Separated Women: Up to 35 years of age (General/EWS), 38 years (OBC), 40 years (SC/ST).
3. Educational Qualification (as on July 24, 2025):
Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination (10th Class) or equivalent from a recognized Board.

For General/OBC/EWS candidates: ₹100/-
For Women candidates, SC/ST candidates, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM): Fee Exempted (₹0/-)
The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro RuPay Credit or Debit cards.
📖 SSC MTS 2025 Full Syllabus Overview
The SSC MTS 2025 Computer-Based Single Exam consists of two sessions:
Session-I:
- Numerical and Mathematical Ability: Integers and Whole Numbers, LCM and HCF, Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between numbers, Fundamental Arithmetic Operations and BODMAS, Percentage, Ratio and Proportions, Work and Time, Direct and inverse Proportions, Averages, Simple Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Area and Perimeter of Basic Geometric Figures, Distance and Time, Lines and Angles, Interpretation of simple Graphs and Data, Square and Square roots etc.
- Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving: The questions in this part intend to measure the candidates’ general learning ability. The questions will be broadly based on Alpha-Numeric Series, Coding and Decoding, Analogy, Following Directions, Similarities and Differences, Jumbling, Problem Solving and Analysis, Non-verbal Reasoning based on diagrams, age Calculations, Calendar and Clock, etc.
Session-II:
- General Awareness: The broad coverage of the test will be on Social Studies (History, Geography, Art and Culture, Civics, Economics), General Science and Environmental studies up to 10th Standard.
- English Language and Comprehension: Candidates' understanding of the basics of English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. and to test comprehension, a simple paragraph may be given and question based on the paragraph to be asked.
